CHBA 2019 Recap ,
2019 was a busy year for CHBA Sea to sky!
With the continued growth and support of our membership our local association was able to send a delegate to attend the CHBA Nation Conference in Niagara Falls and partake in the various meetings and events at this conference. On a provincial level several of our board members took part in the CHBA BC Builder Super Week and fall meetings, in addition one of our board members is now also part of the CHBA BC executive board. Our local was represented at the CHBA legislature Day, where we met with both sides of the house to discuss housing affordability and prompt payment legislation. On a local front our board has started to bridge in with the whistler Chamber of Commerce and have engaged in conversation on how the two groups can work together to benefit all of our interested. This year we were also able to issued bursaries to one student from Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton so they can continue with post-secondary education in the construction industry. The entire CHBA Sea to Sky Board of Directors would like to thank our Sponsoring Member Rona for their continued financial assistance and we look forward to continuing to work with all of you to strengthen the construction industry throughout the corridor.
Sincerely,
Chris Bozman CHBA Sea to Sky President.
